Host Domination Booking Engine: Calendar Sync & Reservation System

Installation

1. Download, install and activate Host Domination Booking Engine from your WordPress dashboard.

2. Open the Host Domination Booking Engine menu and create your first booking calendar.

3. Enter the required accommodation and calendar details, including:

• Calendar or accommodation name
• Maximum number of guests
• Minimum number of nights
• Standard price per night, if you want to display and calculate booking prices

1. To synchronize availability with an external booking platform, paste the iCal or ICS calendar URL provided by Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo or another compatible OTA or reservation website into the external calendar field.

2. Save the calendar settings.

3. The plugin will generate the shortcode required to display the booking engine on your website.

4. Copy the generated shortcode and paste it into the WordPress page where you want to display the booking calendar and reservation form.

5. Publish or update the page.

6. Open the page from the front end of your website and verify the calendar, availability, prices and booking form.

7. To export reservations received from your website, copy the iCal export URL generated by Host Domination Booking Engine and import it into Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo or another compatible platform.

Using the shortcode with Gutenberg

Create or edit a WordPress page, add a Shortcode block and paste the shortcode generated by Host Domination Booking Engine.

Publish or update the page, then verify the booking engine from the front end.

Using the shortcode with Elementor

Create or edit a page with Elementor, add the Shortcode widget and paste the shortcode generated by Host Domination Booking Engine.

Publish or update the page, then verify the booking calendar and reservation form from the front end.

Calendar synchronization

To configure two-way iCal calendar synchronization:

1. Copy the external iCal or ICS calendar URL from Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo or another compatible OTA or booking platform.
2. Paste the URL into the external calendar field in Host Domination Booking Engine.
3. Save the calendar settings.
4. Copy the iCal export URL generated by the plugin.
5. Import the generated URL into the external booking platform.

This allows Host Domination Booking Engine to import unavailable dates from external calendars and export reservations received directly from your WordPress website.

iCal calendar synchronization is not a real-time synchronization system.

The refresh frequency and update method depend on each connected OTA or booking platform.

Some booking platforms refresh imported calendars automatically at specific intervals, while others may require a manual calendar refresh.

For this reason, new reservations, cancellations, blocked dates or availability changes may not appear immediately on every connected platform.

Always check the synchronization settings, refresh options and update frequency provided by Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo or the other connected OTA.
