## Description

**Integrations for Mautic** connects WordPress with your own Mautic instance. The
people who fill in your Elementor Pro forms or subscribe at your WooCommerce checkout
reach Mautic automatically, with their tags and their marketing consent, ready for
your segments and campaigns. No exporting or importing lists by hand.

#### Features

 * **Secure connection** with your Mautic through OAuth2 API credentials.
 * **Mautic tracking code** added to every page of your site, so you can see which
   pages your contacts visit.
 * **Elementor Pro forms**: every submission is sent to Mautic as a contact, with
the tags you choose. Email, first name, last name, phone, company and any Mautic
custom field are filled in from the form fields by their ID. Checkbox groups,
dropdowns, Yes/No and number fields are adapted to the type of the Mautic field,
and a value Mautic does not accept is skipped instead of losing the whole submission.
 * **Marketing consent in Elementor forms**: a checkbox with the ID `accepts_marketing`
   records the consent in Mautic.
 * **Newsletter checkbox at the WooCommerce checkout**: customers who tick it reach
Mautic with your newsletter tag and « Accepts Marketing » set to Yes. The plugin
creates that field in Mautic for you.
 * **Unsubscribes managed in Mautic**: customers use the unsubscribe link of your
emails. The checkout checkbox shows again for them the next time they log in,
and also when a customer corrects the email of their account. Bounced addresses
   are not treated as unsubscribes.
 * **Clear settings screens** in the IndedLabs menu, available in English and Spanish.

The PRO options (segments, campaigns, welcome coupon, WooCommerce data, Post Digest
and more) are shown in the free version greyed out with a padlock, so you can see
how they work before upgrading. See **Upgrade to PRO** below.

Disclaimer: This plugin is developed by **Indedmedia** and **IndedLabs** and is **
not affiliated with, endorsed, or sponsored by Mautic**.

### Upgrade to PRO

Everything in the free version, plus:

 * **Segments and campaigns**: put form and checkout subscribers straight into a
Mautic segment and campaign to start your automations.
 * **Existing contacts**: choose for each form whether to fill only the empty fields,
overwrite them with the form data or leave the contact unchanged.
 * **Proof of consent (GDPR)**: Mautic records each consent with the customer’s
IP address and the exact text of the checkbox they ticked.
 * **Instant unsubscribes**: Mautic notifies WordPress of every unsubscribe as it
happens, with a daily check as a safety net. Works with the Mautic preference
   center.
 * **Welcome coupon**: a unique WooCommerce coupon for every new subscriber, sent
with a Mautic email or shown right on the page, and applied to the cart automatically.
 * **Subscription popup with coupon**: your own popup to capture subscribers in
your shop, no Elementor needed. Choose when and where it appears, its position,
animations and whole design, with a live preview. Welcome emails can be created
   in Mautic with one click.
 * **WooCommerce data in Mautic**: customer and order fields (number of orders,
total spent, average order value, last order, days between orders and more) kept
up to date with every order, plus a bulk sync of your existing customers.
 * **Post Digest**: an email with your latest blog posts, created and kept up to
   date in Mautic.
 * **Google Tag Manager**: conversion events for new subscribers and form submissions,
ready for Google Ads and GA4.
 * **Activity log**: who subscribes, who unsubscribes and where from, with filters
   and CSV export.
 * **Kiosk mode** for events and shared devices, and token renewal through an external
   cron.
 * **Priority support.**

The PRO version is sold by Indedmedia. More information and purchase at [indedmedia.com](https://www.indedmedia.com/wp-mautic-integration-plugin-mautic-wordpress-para-woocommerce-y-elementor/).

### External services

This plugin connects your WordPress site with **your own Mautic instance** through
its REST API. Mautic is the only service that receives data, and only the Mautic
instance you configure in the plugin settings. Depending on the modules you enable,
it receives:

 * **Elementor forms**: the form fields you map (email, first name, last name, phone,
company, custom fields), the tags you set and the marketing consent.
 * **WooCommerce**: the billing name and email of each order, plus your newsletter
tag and the marketing consent if the customer ticks the newsletter checkbox.
When a customer logs in or changes their account email, the email is used to
read their subscription status from Mautic.
 * **Tracking code**: if you enable it, your visitors’ browsers load the tracking
script from your Mautic and send it the pages they visit and their UTM parameters.

Mautic is an open source project. Mautic Privacy Policy: https://www.mautic.org/

The plugin also contains links to the PRO version, sold by Indedmedia, and to the
documentation, published by IndedLabs. No data is sent to them: your browser only
opens their website if you click one of those links.

## Installation

 1. Install the plugin from _Plugins > Add New Plugin_ in WordPress, or upload it to`/
    wp-content/plugins/`, and activate it.
 2. Go to **IndedLabs > Mautic FREE** (Connection Settings). Enter your Mautic URL,
Client ID and Client Secret (created in Mautic under _Settings > API Credentials_,
type OAuth 2) and click **Connect/Re-connect to Mautic**.
 3. Turn on the integrations you need under **Modules**: Elementor and WooCommerce.
 4. WooCommerce: under **Modules Setup > WooCommerce > Newsletter**, enable the checkout
checkbox and set its text and your newsletter tag.
 5. Elementor Pro: edit your form, add **Mautic** in _Actions After Submit_ and fill
in the **Tags**. Give each form field the ID of the Mautic field it should fill(
for example `email`, `firstname` or the alias of a custom field).

## FAQ

### Do I need technical knowledge?

No. You only need a Mautic instance with the API enabled and a set of API credentials.

### Does it work with Mautic in the cloud?

Yes, as long as the API is enabled.

### Do I need Elementor Pro and WooCommerce?

Only for the integration you want to use. Each one is turned on separately under
Modules.

### How do unsubscribes work?

Always from Mautic: customers use the unsubscribe link of your emails. The plugin
never unsubscribes anyone on its own, and leaving the checkout checkbox unticked
is not an unsubscribe.

### What is the difference between the free and PRO versions?

The free version sends your forms and checkout subscribers to Mautic with tags and
consent. The PRO version adds segments and campaigns, instant unsubscribes, the
welcome coupon, WooCommerce customer and order data, Post Digest, Google Tag Manager
events and an activity log. See **Upgrade to PRO**.

### Does the plugin send data to an external server?

Only to the Mautic instance whose URL you enter. No data is sent to us.

### Where is my data stored?

The connection details and settings are stored in your WordPress database (`wp_options`
table).

A very well-recommended plugin and team. It provides helpful functionality that
can make Mautic integration very simple, and fast. The features are powerful, easy
to configure, and very likely worth the pro version for many users. I had one question
and the developer and team were VERY responsive, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to
communicate with. A solid plugin and great team behind it. Thanks

### 󠀁[Easy to use](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/easy-to-use-5282/)󠁿

Very easy to use and fantastic for use with Elementor. I discovered it because the
development company has hosted my website for over 14 years. I've tried others that
allow you to insert forms created with Mautic, but that's a problem because it then
generates a lot of spam in the registrations. However, since it's integrated with
Elementor, it allows me to use all of Elementor's tools. My website, in addition
to being in Elementor, is also a WooCommerce site, and it also works perfectly for
attracting my clients in Mautic. I'll most likely eventually purchase the pro version
so I can have better control over my clients. Congratulations on this plugin and
congratulations to the developer.

## Changelog

#### 2.0.9 – 2026-10-01

 * CHANGE: Newsletter unsubscribes are now managed from Mautic: customers use the
unsubscribe link of your emails. The Newsletter page in My Account has been removed,
so every unsubscribe follows the same path. When a customer unsubscribes, the
checkout checkbox appears again the next time they log in.
 * FIX: Leaving the newsletter checkbox unticked at checkout no longer unsubscribes
a customer who had already subscribed (for example from a form).
 * FIX: The newsletter tag is now added only to customers who tick the newsletter
checkbox, instead of to every order.
 * FIX: The newsletter checkbox is no longer shown already ticked on the customer’s
   next purchase.
 * FIX: A customer who unsubscribed with the unsubscribe link of a Mautic email
is now recognised as unsubscribed in WordPress too, and « Accepts Marketing »
is set to No in Mautic.
 * FIX: Subscribing again from the checkout or from an Elementor form after an unsubscribe
makes Mautic send emails to the customer again.
 * FIX: Subscribing from an Elementor form with an `accepts_marketing` field now
also subscribes contacts who already exist in Mautic, and the customer is recognised
as subscribed in WordPress too. An unticked box sends nothing.
 * FIX: A failed contact update in Mautic no longer causes a PHP error.
 * FIX: When a customer’s account email changes (corrected by the customer or by
an administrator), the newsletter status is checked again for the new email,
so the checkout checkbox is shown again if that email is not subscribed yet.
 * FIX: Elementor forms with custom fields no longer lose the contact when Mautic
does not accept one of the values. Checkbox groups now reach Mautic multi-select
fields, dropdown options match Mautic lists by value or label, Yes/No fields
understand « Sí », and a value Mautic still rejects is left out instead of blocking
   the whole submission.
 * TWEAK: The Documentation link now opens the new online manual.
 * TWEAK: The WooCommerce settings show the new PRO subscription popup and the one-
click coupon emails, as a preview.
 * TWEAK: Logging in no longer waits for Mautic: the newsletter status is checked
   in the background.
 * TWEAK: The plugin screens now show every option of the PRO version where it belongs(
newsletter, welcome coupon, unsubscribe sync, customer fields and sync, Post
Digest, Activity, Google Tag Manager, kiosk mode…), disabled, marked with a padlock
and filled with example data, so you can see how it would look before upgrading.
 * TWEAK: New admin design. The plugin now lives in the shared IndedLabs menu as«
Mautic FREE », with the connection status always visible at the top and a side
menu for its pages. Every page keeps the same address, so bookmarks and your
   Mautic callback URL keep working.
 * TWEAK: Missing Spanish translations added.
 * TWEAK: Code cleanup following the WordPress coding standards.

#### 2.0.8 – 2026-09-02

 * SECURITY: The customer e-mail is now URL-encoded before it is used in the Mautic
contact search, and the contact the search returns is checked to carry that exact
address before it is updated. Prevents a crafted billing e-mail from steering
the lookup at an unrelated Mautic contact and overwriting it.
 * SECURITY: The AJAX endpoint that builds the Mautic authorization URL now requires
the `manage_options` capability and is no longer registered for logged-out requests.
Prevents disclosure of the Mautic instance URL and OAuth client_id to low-privileged
   users.
 * SECURITY: The OAuth authorization flow now carries a single-use `state` value,
bound to the administrator who started it, which the callback validates before
exchanging the authorization code. Prevents a forged cross-site request from
replacing the site’s stored Mautic tokens.

#### 2.0.7 – 2026-01-29

 * FIX: Fixed compatibility with PHP 8.0.

#### 2.0.6 – 2026-01-29

 * FIX: Fixed missing `intmau_is_mautic_connected()` function that caused modules
to remain disabled even with valid Mautic connection.

#### 2.0.5 – 2025-10-15

 * FIX: Prevent WooCommerce checkout from failing when Mautic connection is missing
   or token is expired.
 * FIX: Corrected issue where modules appeared always enabled and could not be toggled
   individually.

#### 2.0.4 – 2025-09-15

 * FIX: Added Domain Path to get Spanish Translation.
 * FIX: changelog.txt removed and moved to readme.txt

#### 2.0.3 – 2025-09-10

 * FIX: Fixed some sanitization fields.

#### 2.0.2 – 2025-09-09

 * New: Added Documentation Menu.

#### 2.0.1 – 2025-09-08

 * Fix: All classes, functions, hooks, and option names now use a unique prefix
   to avoid collisions.

#### 2.0.0 – 2025-09-02

 * Breaking: This update renames the plugin and function prefix. If you are using
custom hooks/functions, please update your code.

#### 1.1.1 – 2025-09-01

 * Fix: When a customer checked the « Accepts Marketing » field in WooCommerce,
this selection was not reflected in Mautic.

#### 1.1.0 – 2025-08-30

 * New: Added .po files for translation
 * New: Added spanish translation

#### 1.0.0 – 2025-08-28

 * Initial Stable Release

#### 0.1.0 – 2025-07-01

 * Initial Beta Release
