Once the plugin is active, a checkbox such as _« I accept the Privacy Policy »_ appears above the submit button of your forms. The words « Privacy Policy » link to your policy page. If a visitor tries to submit without ticking the box, the form is not sent and a clear error message appears next to the checkbox. It works with the most common form builders, and a generic fallback covers plain HTML forms from smaller or custom plugins as well. #### Why site owners use it Data protection rules increasingly expect an explicit, unticked opt-in before a site collects personal details through a form. In Israel, Amendment 13 to the Privacy Protection Law (in force since August 2025) led many site owners to add a visible consent step to their contact and lead forms. Sites with visitors from the EU face similar expectations under the GDPR. Instead of configuring consent separately in every form builder, this plugin gives you one consistent consent checkbox across the whole site. #### How it works 1. Activate the plugin. 2. Under **Settings > Privacy Consent**, confirm the link to your Privacy Policy page( the WordPress privacy page is used by default). 3. The checkbox is added to your forms automatically, including forms that load later, such as Elementor popups and Ajax-loaded forms. 4. Submission is blocked until the visitor ticks the box. #### Supported form builders * Elementor Forms * Contact Form 7 * WPForms * Gravity Forms * Ninja Forms * Any other plain HTML `

Fill in a short form (what you collect, why, who you share it with, retention, visitor rights) and the plugin creates the page, publishes it and links the checkbox to it. * Built-in Hebrew texts for the checkbox and error message on Hebrew sites, with right-to-left (RTL) layout. * Exclude any form by adding the CSS class `no-privacy-consent`. * Lightweight: one small script and one small stylesheet on the front end. #### Privacy This plugin does not track visitors, does not use cookies, does not send data to any external service and does not require an account. It does not store consent records. It only makes sure the visitor ticks the box before the form can be sent. Form entries are handled by your form builder as usual. #### Free, no premium version The plugin is complete and free under the GPL. There is no paid tier and no upsell. #### About the maintainer Built and maintained by [OCW](https://ocw.co.il), a web development and automation studio in Israel. It started as an internal tool that we use on our clients’ sites, and we are sharing it with the WordPress community. #### Important disclaimer This plugin adds a consent checkbox to your forms and prevents submission until it is ticked. It does **not**, on its own, make your website compliant with the GDPR, the Israeli Privacy Protection Law or any other law. In your WordPress dashboard, go to **Plugins > Add New**, search for « Privacy Consent for Forms », then click **Install Now** and **Activate**. Alternatively, upload the plugin folder to `/wp-content/plugins/` and activate it from the **Plugins** screen. 2. Go to **Settings > Privacy Consent**. 3. Check the Privacy Policy URL, and optionally set a privacy contact email and your own checkbox or error text. 4. Click **Save**. The consent checkbox now appears on your forms. 5. No privacy policy page yet? Use **Create Privacy Policy Page** on the same screen. ## FAQ ### Which form builders are supported? Elementor Forms, Contact Form 7, WPForms, Gravity Forms and Ninja Forms are supported directly. A generic fallback also adds the checkbox to any plain HTML `` on the page, so forms from other or custom plugins are usually covered too. ### How do I change the checkbox text or the policy link? Go to **Settings > Privacy Consent**. Set your Privacy Policy URL and, if you like, your own checkbox text and error text. Keep the words « Privacy Policy » in your text so they are linked to your policy page automatically. ### I don’t have a privacy policy page. Can the plugin help? Yes. On the settings screen, click **Open Create Form**, fill in the sections (the fields come with sensible starting text), and the plugin creates and publishes a Privacy Policy page and links the checkbox to it. Review the new page and adapt it to your business. ### Does it support Hebrew and right-to-left (RTL) sites? Yes. On a Hebrew site the checkbox and error message appear in Hebrew out of the box, with correct RTL layout. Translations of the settings screen are managed on translate.wordpress.org. ### Does it work with multilingual sites? Yes. With WPML or Polylang, the policy link points to the policy page in the visitor’s current language. ### Will it interfere with my search plugin, like Ajax Search Pro? No. Search forms are skipped, and Ajax Search Pro forms are specifically recognized and ignored. Your site search keeps working as before. ### Can I exclude a specific form? Yes. Add the CSS class `no-privacy-consent` to the form or to an element that wraps it. Most form builders let you set a CSS class in the form settings. ### Does the plugin collect or send any data? No. There is no tracking, no analytics and no external requests, and the plugin does not store the consent event. Form entries are saved by your form builder as usual. ### Does this plugin make my site GDPR compliant, or compliant with Israel’s Amendment 13? No. A required consent checkbox is a common building block, but on its own it does not make a site compliant with the GDPR, the Israeli Privacy Protection Law or any other law. Compliance depends on your full data practices and privacy policy and is the site owner’s responsibility. ### Is there a paid version?
