Description

ProofNexus shows small « recent activity » popups so visitors can see that real people are buying and engaging. Data loads from a cache-friendly REST endpoint and does not block page rendering.

Free features

• Automatic WooCommerce Sales Popups – recent qualifying orders, no manual setup. Choose which order statuses count and how far back to look. Popups cycle through eligible orders, newest to oldest.
• WooCommerce Add-to-Cart Notifications – « Someone added {product} to their cart », from real add-to-cart activity. Off by default.
• WooCommerce Low Stock Alerts – « Only {stock} left of {product} », from real inventory and your threshold. Off by default.
• Custom Notifications – your own popups (title, message, location, time text, optional image), with no limit on how many.
• WordPress Comment Notifications – a popup when a new comment is approved.
• Popup design – template gallery, colors, corner radius, image shape and a live preview.
• Privacy display modes – buyer’s first name and city, or an anonymous city-only label.
• Position, timing, sound, role management and reset – four corners, delay and interval settings, optional sound, role access and Reset to Defaults.
• Quick Presets, Setup Wizard and Settings Backup & Restore.

The Free plugin has no locked features beyond the Pro items below and no usage limits.

WooCommerce is optional. Version 6.0+ is needed only for the WooCommerce modules. Custom and Comment Notifications work on any WordPress site.

ProofNexus Pro (separate, optional, paid). Every Pro plan includes the same features; plans differ only in the number of sites (Personal 1, Business 3, Agency 10):

Privacy

Free plugin. No analytics, no tracking cookies and no external requests. Popups come from your site’s own REST endpoint, /wp-json/proofnexus/v1/popups, which returns only id, type, message, title, image_url, time_ago and url – never email addresses, order IDs or street addresses. The browser keeps a short list of already shown notification keys in sessionStorage, cleared when the tab closes. No cookies or localStorage are used. The Setup Wizard stores one non-personal state value locally.

Add-to-Cart Notifications (off by default). Each add-to-cart stores only the product ID and a timestamp, temporarily, in your database – no name, email, IP address, session ID, cart contents, cookie or localStorage. Events are deleted after your age limit (1 hour to 7 days), and when you turn the module off, reset or deactivate. Low Stock Alerts store nothing.

Live Product Viewer Counter (Pro, off by default). Each browser tab creates a random code kept only in sessionStorage. While a product page is open and visible, the code and a signed, time-limited page code are sent to your own site every 30 seconds; the request’s Origin, Referer and Sec-Fetch-Site headers are checked and not stored. Your database holds only a salted one-way hash of the code, the product ID (not stored when the store-wide scope is chosen) and a last-seen time. A visitor stops counting about 90 seconds after their last activity, the row is deleted within a few minutes, and no history is kept. No cookies, localStorage, IP addresses, account details or external services are used. Administrators are never counted. The table is removed on uninstall, and rows are cleared when the counter is turned off or the plugin is deactivated.

Pro Analytics (Pro, off by default). Stores local daily impression and click totals per notification source in your database – no personal data, cookies, browser identifiers, IPs, URLs, referrers, products or orders, and nothing is sent externally. Retention is 30, 90 (default) or 180 days. An administrator can clear the data or export 7, 30 or 90 days as TXT or XLSX (XLSX needs the PHP ZIP extension); exports are built on your server and not stored.

External services and third-party code

ProofNexus Free makes no external requests on your visitors’ behalf and loads no remote scripts, fonts or images.

Freemius (licensing and opt-in). ProofNexus includes the Freemius SDK, used for the optional opt-in, license and update flow. On activation Freemius shows an opt-in screen. No user or site details are sent to Freemius unless an administrator clicks to opt in, and you can skip it without losing any Free feature. If you opt in, Freemius receives basic account and site details (for example your name and email, site URL, and WordPress, PHP and plugin versions) as described in its terms and privacy policy: https://freemius.com/terms/ and https://freemius.com/privacy/. The Freemius SDK is licensed GPL-3.0; see THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.md.

Optional « by ProofNexus » credit link. Off by default. If an administrator turns it on, each popup shows a small visitor-facing external link to https://wpmanagestudio.com/proofnexus/. It has no tracking parameters, and nothing is requested from that site unless a visitor clicks it.

Upgrade links. Admin-only links to the ProofNexus Pro page open only when clicked.

ProofNexus Pro (separate, paid). The paid package can, when a licensed administrator turns them on, connect to Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign or the Google Places API to read data for notifications. This code is not part of the Free plugin.
